2023 FISH SCREENING OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE FISH SCREEN TRAINING CONFERENCE

The Fish Screening Oversight Committee (FSOC) invites you to Oregon as the FSOC convenes the 2023 Fish Screen Training Conference in Medford, September 12-14, 2023. The 2023 conference, co-hosted by ODFW and NOAA, represents our first trip to Southern Oregon, a great area to view the different types of screens that are currently being used to protect fish. Medford provides an outstanding location for technicians, engineers, and shop staff to learn about fish screen criteria, screen design and installation, screen testing and tuning, and maintenance.
The 2023 conference will focus on NOAA’s fish screen criteria, designs currently being developed and sold by various screen manufacturers, screen measurements and tuning, and maintenance that facilitates safe fish passage. The conference will be of interest to those that are, or will be, involved with projects for which screens will be designed and constructed, as well as monitored and maintained.
As with previous conferences, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a tour of various sites to view existing screens and discuss the designs and maintenance requirements.
